Google privacy issues

Google has announced that one of its engineers has been sacked for viewing users log files for a number of Google products the Telegraph reports

This is the second violation of privacy this year after it was announced that Google had mistakenly collected information sent over unencrypted Wi-Fi networks. Google was at the time subjected to a series of international investigations over the crisis after it admitted recording information; we wait with bated breath to see what if anything happens in this case.

Allowing a company to contain so much information about people’s lives and the conversations is bound to lead to potentially increased privacy issues in the future. It would appear that a Google account should also come with its own parent protection a service, judging by the latest issues the company has encountered.

We will have to wait to see what Google’s social upgrade brings to the privacy issue table. You have been warned.
